Caesars Palace Rebrand Hoping To Capture Online Casino Market In PA

Caesars has decided to undergo a rebrand, attempting to gain more PA online casino market share. The new brand, now Caesars Palace Casino, is looking to compete with the biggest operators in the Keystone State.

Caesars Palace rebrands to build up PA online casino

DraftKings, BetMGM and FanDuel are the top operators, not only in Pennsylvania, but in the country. It puts other platforms such as Ceasars and BetRivers in tough spots to compete.

While reaching the status of the top three is a tall task, Caesars Palace is going for it. The company announced during its earnings call the debut of a standalone online casino app.

Caesars CEO, Tom Reeg, said on the call:

“It’s a casino-first entry into our digital business. And in terms of capabilities, bonusing, segmentation, proprietary games and live dealer, it is lightyears beyond what we’ve been operating under.”

Many operators have begun investing in personalized marketing strategies. This new platform allows Caesars to better understand and reach its target audience.

President of Caesars Sports and Online Gaming, Eric Hession, said:

“We haven’t been able to really do segmented marketing to any degree so far with the existing tech that we had. The new system that we have will allow us to create segmentation and it’ll allow us to reinvest, like we do on the [retail] casino side and to use a lot of those experiences.”

What the Caesars Palace app looks like

The Caesars Palace app has a nice, clean set up. The platform has several sections that are broken down by category. The first is promotions, which is followed by Caesars Exclusives. Those are all branded games:

Caesars Cleopatra
Caesars Fortune
Golden Nile
Caesars Palace American Roulette
Caesars Palace Live Dealer Blackjack

The next few sections feature “Palace Picks” and “Progressive Jackpots,” with the totals listed. The app has more than 200 slot games and 20 jackpot options.

Heisson said during the Q1 2023 call that Caesars’ main goal was to attract slot players. However, during the Q2 meeting, Heisson noted that PA live dealer games are still a big part of the business.

“I’d say it’s definitely going to be a major part of the business going forward. The standalone app is going to have a higher percentage of slot business than table, but it’s still going to have live dealer and the overall table games. We do expect that live dealer product to be a sizable percentage.”

Caesars Palace has the following live dealer rooms available:

Blackjack
American Roulette
Auto Roulette
Lightning Roulette
Craps
Speed Baccarat
Three Card Poker
Ultimate Texas Home ‘Em

While the Caesars brass is excited and hopeful for the future, it’s still tempering expectations. Reeg said:

“We are fully aware that we have seen significant competition in the iCasino space, we don’t expect that we’re just going to come in and run everybody over. But we feel like we’ve got the product to start to build market share, and wrapping that into Caesars rewards has been and will continue to be powerful for that business.”
